The most hilarious moment on tonight's show? Paul McDermitt leads the audience in a rendition of "Happy Little Vegemites". That's not the funny bit. The funny bit was the expressions on the American guests.  They were utterly gobsmacked! :D

 I heard that Spamalot really wimped out on some of the darker humour from its sources. Watching the Oxfam Comedy show, I see them singing "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life."

I think to have the bite of the original, it should be sung as a freefall routine by people who've just leapt off the Twin Towers...

 The Golden Compass was a pleasant little fantasy with great aesthetics and good acting. I liked it and the protagonist better than Narnia. While the book is somewhat provocative in parts, the Catholic Church has absolutely no reason to worry about the movie.

I watched the rest of Season 3 of BSG recently. It doesn't really reach the heights of earlier episodes, and I find some of the major plot points questionable. OTOH the trial of Baltar is extremely well done.
